How Successful People Think – Chapters 2 & 3

This is a continuation in a series of blog posts.  You can read my review of the Introduction and first chapter of the book here.  Chapters 2 & 3 of John Maxwell’s “How Successful People Think” concentrate on how to engage in focused thinking, and harnessing creative thinking.   Removing distractions is critical when looking to engaging in focused thinking.  Sometimes its not so easy to remove those things that we’ve grown to expect in our daily routine.  One of the suggestions that Maxwell makes is “Don’t allow yourself to look at e-mail until after 10AM.  Instead, focus your energies on your number one...

Now Reading: How Successful People Think by John Maxwell

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my life and what the future may hold for me.  That statement at first glance may appear to be pretty deep, but really it was all driven by feelings that I’m not applying myself as I could be…and really should be.  I was having a conversation with my dad yesterday, just catching up, and we somehow got on the topic of reading.  He mentioned to me that if I was looking for books that I’d be able to apply to my life, pick up something by John Maxwell.  Of course my next question is, “Which book should I read”.  His response to me, “Just pick up anything and I’m sure it will be...

Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Headphones – Review

Since E$ is interested, and maybe some others are as well, I figured I’d give the official Bynum review of my new headphones!  To begin, I must forewarn you that these headphones are not exactly a cheap buy, so if you are looking for the “smart” buy with regards to cost this probably is not what you are looking for.  Now that THAT’S out of the way, let’s get to the review. The very first thing that I noticed about the headphones when I put them on in Best Buy is that they were not small by any means.  I was almost deterred by that alone, but my mission was to test out the best products so I tried them out.  Once you put these headphones...
